ICC T20 World Cup 2024: The T20 clash between the top 20 teams of the world has ended and India emerged as the giants with the title on their hands. The International Cricket Council have revealed the Team of the Tournament of 2024 T20 World Cup after the completion of the season and as many as six Indian players have made their spot in the World Playing 11.

The T20 World Cup 2024 winners India displayed the pinnacle of the team performance in the crucial games and it was the result of their devoted and hard commitment. They outplayed the giants of World Cricket in this tournament on the crucial stages. 



India Defeated Australia in a crucial match of Super 8 that snubbed Australia out of the Semifinal Race. Later in the Semifinal, they defeated England and took a perfect and identical revenge of the 2022 T20 World Cup semifinal.



In the last against South Africa, India took the game out of the jaws of the Proteas men. India were at the losing corner at an instant but the bowler just pulled out the victory out of nowhere.

1- Rohit Sharma (Captain)



The World Cup winning Captain, the ruthless opener and the hope of 140 Crore Indians is right at the top of the ICC Team of the Tournament. The Start of the tournament for skipper Rohit Sharma wasn't as good as he would have thought but he recovered it in the latter half of the tournament. 



Sharma led the Indian side to the title and is designated as the skipper of the side as well. He scored 257 runs at an average of 36.71 and at a strike rate of 156 with 3 fifties.



2- Rahmanullah Gurbaz

The Afghan opener who ended the season as the most run-scorer of the tournament, is there with Rohit Sharma to open the innings. His stats are- Runs: 281, Average: 35.12, Strike-rate: 124.33, Fifties: 3



3- Nicholas Pooran



The West Indies firepower is here! Nicholas Pooran established his status as one of the best batters in the format with 228 runs in the tournament, scoring at a rate of 146.16. His numbers are- Runs: 228, Average: 38.0, Strike-rate: 146.15, Fifties: 1



4- Surya Kumar Yadav

SKY is in at Number 4 and has delivered the best results when batter at this number. He is the second Indian on the list and his numbers for the tournament are- Runs: 199, Average: 28.42, Strike-rate: 135.37, fifties: 2



5- Marcus Stoinis



The Australian middle order was more than dependent on this man in this tournament. Marcus Stoinis was the backbone of the Australian Batting lineup who rescued the team in the most crucial moments. Not only with the bat, but he was equally supportive with the ball. His stats are- Runs: 169, Strike-rate: 164.07, Wickets: 10, Economy: 8.88



6- Hardik Pandya 



The all-rounder Hardik Pandya is next on the list and is the third Indian making his spot in the playing 11. He bowled excellent two overs in the death and played a crucial role in the defence of 29 runs off 29 balls. His numbers are- Runs: 144, Strike-rate: 151.57, Wickets: 11, Economy: 7.64



7- Axar Patel

The 'BAPU' of the Indian team Axar Patel is right next. He is a versatile batter and bowler and showed the best of his skills in the tournament. His numbers are- Runs: 92, Strike-rate: 139.39, Wickets: 9, Economy: 7.86



8- Rashid Khan



Another Afghan player on the list! Afghanistan has really impressed the entire cricket world in this tournament. Afghan skipper Rashid Khan was leading the spin attack and added benefits with his batting skills to the team's memorable journey. His stats are- Wickets: 14, Average: 12.78, Economy: 6.17, Best: 4/17



9- Jasprit Bumrah



The Player of the Tournament and India's trump card in their title win, Jasprit Bumrah was unstoppable. More than the 15 wickets he took, his impact in restricting the scoring rate of teams made Bumrah India's most important player right through the tournament. His Stats are- Wickets: 15, Average: 8.26, Economy: 4.17, Best: 3/7



10- Arshdeep Singh

The left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh has been a gem for India in this season. He took early wickets in almost every game in the tournament which put a lot of pressure on opponents. His numbers for the season are- Wickets: 17, Average: 12.64, Economy: 7.16, Best: 4/9



11- Fazalhaq Farooqi



The third Afghan and 9th Asian on the list. His excellent control and swing led him to the top of the most wicket-takers list with 17 wickets. His numbers are- Wickets: 17, Average: 9.41, Economy: 6.31, Best: 5/9
