ICC U19 Women's World Cup qualification scenario: With a convincing win over Sri Lanka in their second and last Super Six encounter on Sunday, India advanced to the semifinals of the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. A total of 12 teams qualified for the super-six stage where these teams were divided into two groups of 6 teams each. At the end of the super-6 stage, the top two teams of both groups will qualify for the semi-finals. Group A consists of- India,&nbsp; Australia, Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and UAE. India and Australia have played all their matches of super-6 and are at the top 2 positions with 6 points each and officially have qualified for the semi-finals as their Net Run Rate is quite higher than others in the race.



Bangladesh and South Africa, who had very little chance of making it to the semifinals are officially out. Each of the four teams in Group 1 has played all the matches of the Super-6 stage. With 6 points, Bangladesh finished their journey in third place in the points table.

In the opening rounds of the Super Six matches, England imposed a heavy defeat on Ireland to massively increase their net run rate, and New Zealand did the same against Rwanda. Ind W vs Pak W: The ICC Women's T20 World Cup gets underway on Friday in Cape Town with a matchup between hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka. On Sunday (February 12), India will battle their arch-rival Pakistan. Meanwhile, current sources report that Smriti Mandhana would be ruled out of the match against Pakistan owing to a finger injury.



The India Women's Cricket Team has been dealt a major setback before meeting Pakistan in the tournament. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana was hurt during the warm-up match, but the team's management anticipated she would be back in time for iconic India vs. Pakistan clash.

The 26-year-old opener got her left middle finger injured while fielding during a warm-up match against Australia on Monday. Instead of starting at the top of the order as she usually does against Australia, the southpaw batted at number three. She only lasted three balls in that inning. As a result, Mandhana was therefore unable to feature in India's second practice match against Bangladesh on Wednesday.



It's also uncertain how fit skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will be. She suffered a shoulder injury during the Tri-Series final against South Africa last week. According to media sources, opener Smriti Mandhana was supposed to lead the Women in Blue in Harmanpreet Kaur's absence. Her injuries, though, might cause the plans to fall through.

Women's T20 World Cup Final on 26 February, Australia to face South Africa in the final: Women's T20 World Cup have finally reached its championship match where the hosts South Africa will lock horns against the 5 times World champions mighty Australia in order to win their first-ever ICC T20 title.



Australia reached the final a day before when they defeated India in a nail-biting contest in the first semifinal match on 23 February. Australia managed to beat India by a very narrow margin of 5 runs and cemented their spot into the Finals.

England were the second favorite for the tournament final but the hosting girls ensured the perfect greeting they could present there. South Africa crushed England again in a thrilling contest by a thin margin of 6 runs.

Riding to his 68 in 55 balls and 53 of Walvaardt, South Africa put forward a healthy competitive score of 164 runs.

Despite having a quick and good opening stand of 53 runs in just 5 overs, England lost a few quick wickets. Nat-Sciver Brunt and skipper Heather Knight tried to get England's innings back on track. England, who once needed 32 runs off 22 balls, ended up losing the match by 6 runs.

ICC Women's T20 World Cup: The rumors have come true and the hard-earned hosting rights of ICC Women's T20 World 2024 have been a missed opportunity for Bangladesh now as the International Cricket Board have announced a new host for ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024. 



The ICC have recently updated that the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, set to be played in October, have been moved out of Bangladesh. The ongoing political crises in Bangladesh could be the main reason for the steps taken by the ICC.

Announcing the big update, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said in a statement: "It is a shame not to be hosting the Women?s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh as we know the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) would have staged a memorable event."

With 2024 already a landmark year for India after their triumph in the Men's T20 World Cup, the nation is eagerly hoping for a double celebration with a win in the Women's T20 World Cup as well. India has announced a formidable squad, featuring a blend of experienced veterans and promising talent, raising expectations that this could be the year they finally lift the trophy.

IND vs ENG 4th T20I: In a match that swung like a pendulum, both teams fought tooth and nail in a contest filled with twists and turns. India have defeated England in the 4th T20I by 15 runs and won the 17th T20I series in a row. 
India’s early collapse left them gasping for breath, but a remarkable fightback brought them back into the game, thanks to two key players. England, chasing a challenging target, seemed to be in control until a sudden shift changed the course of the match. With wickets falling in clusters, the momentum shifted again and again. As the final overs approached, it was anyone’s game. 
<h2>IND vs ENG 4th T20I Match Summary</h2>
For the first time in the series, Jos Buttler made the right call at the toss and opted to bowl first after winning the flip of the coin. They had two changes - Mahmood for Wood, and Bethell for Smith. Meanwhile, for India, Rinku Singh was fit and available so there were going to be some changes to the squad. Arshdeep came in place of Shami, Rinku came in for Jurel, and Shivam Dube came in for Washington Sundar.

The Indian innings began on a shaky note, as early wickets put the team under pressure. Sanju Samson, the opener, was dismissed cheaply for just 1 run, followed by Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav, who both fell for ducks in the same over. This was the first time Saqib Mahmood played against India in India and he made the most with three wickets in his first over. The scoreboard showed a fragile 12/3 after just 2 overs, leaving the middle order to rebuild.

It was a daunting situation, but Abhishek Sharma rose to the occasion, playing a spirited knock. He added 29 runs, providing some stability before falling to Rashid. Despite the early collapse, Sharma’s contribution offered a glimmer of hope.
As wickets continued to fall, it was Rinku Singh who took charge next. His 30 runs came at a steady pace, keeping the innings afloat amid the tumbling wickets. However, with the loss of Rinku, Hardik Pandya stepped in and took charge. His aggressive knock of 53 off 30 balls injected much-needed momentum into the innings.
Pandya, known for his flair, played some brilliant shots, taking on the bowlers with confidence. But as he was dismissed at 166/6, the task of reaching a competitive total seemed daunting again.

In the final overs, Shivam Dube kept the hopes alive, contributing another vital 53 runs. With his resilience and some decent contributions from the middle order, the Indian team recovered from the early collapse and put forth a competitive total of 182 runs.
The innings ended at 181/9, with the team left to reflect on a few crucial missed opportunities. The loss of wickets in quick succession early on severely hampered their progress, making it difficult to post a bigger total. The standout performances of Pandya and Dube were overshadowed by the fragility at the top, leaving India with a comparatively easier target to defend.
England Innings- 
England Started with Salt and Duckett and they just smashed all Indian bowlers to all parts of the ground in the first powerplay. Ben Duckett just went furious with an over 200 Strike rate in the first 6 overs losing his wicket on the last ball of the powerplay. Before that, he smashed 39 runs off just 18 balls. Phil Salt was equally aggressive, smoking four boundaries in the powerplay but fell against Axar Patel in the very next over after the powerplay.

Buttler went back soon in the 8th over and India were back in the game in the span of just 10 balls after the powerplay. Livingstone and Brook played out the tough session and the pressure started to build. Harshit Rana, the concussion substitute in for Shivam Dube got Liam Livingstone in the second ball of his first over. 
Harry Brook took the charge and started the counterattack. He took Harshit Rana on for 18 runs in the 14th over but couldn't do it for long as Varun Chakravarthy got him just after the completion of his half-century. England were in all sorts of trouble as Bryden Carse also lost his wicket in the same over.

Harshit Rana again struck in his third over and took Bethell out of the game. Soon, Bishnoi got Archer and England were 8 down for 146 runs. They still needed 36 runs off 18 balls. Harshit bowled a tight 19th over and it was all over for England in the last over when Arshdeep Singh got Saqib Mahmood and England were bowled out for 166 runs. The picture was looking pretty clear after the 18th over and Harshit Rana made it obvious that India wins the series.
INDIA won the match by 15 runs

India's stunning recovery from 12/3 to post 181/9 was enough to defend against England, who fell short at 166, losing by 15 runs. Harshit Rana, the debutant rose to the moment and India won a thriller.

India fought back brilliantly after early setbacks, while England's chase crumbled under pressure from spinners, handing India a narrow victory.
