TATA IPL 2022 Updates: 5 Must-Watch Games in IPL 2022. 

Here is a look at the top rivalries that will be on display in TATA IPL 2022. MI VS CSK, RCB VS KKR, and most importantly Gujarat going up against Lucknow Super Giants! Swipe to know more.

The TATA IPL 2022 will get underway from the 26th of March. The tournament brings along with it the excitement of a lifetime. The 10-team tournament will have 70 games in total. The tournament will also feature the old rivalries. The essence of the IPL is in these rivalries themselves. So, which are the top 5 games that one cannot miss out on. Which are the games that will make your heart beat faster than light? Here’s a look: 

1) Royal Challengers Bangalore VS Kolkata Knight Riders will be seen in TATA IPL 2022: 

Date: 30th March 2022.

This game will be played on the 30th of March. This was the first-ever game of the IPL. The match between these two teams always gives the fans something amazing. We have seen Virat Kohli get a hundred, Bazz McCullum scores 158*, Kuldeep getting smashed by Moeen Ali, the magic of Dre Russ, and RCB getting bundled out on 49! One may say that the games may not add any value but this game is certainly the most entertaining.  

2) Punjab Kings VS Rajasthan Royals will be seen in TATA IPL 2022: 

Date: 7th May. 

This is the 62nd game of the tournament. TATA IPL 2022 will see these two teams in different groups. This is one of the latest rivalries. Recently we have seen the heroics of Rahul Tewatia smoking Sheldon Cottrell for 5 sixes, the exploits of Sanju Samson, and the masterclass of KL Rahul in these games. This is the North-Indian derby of the IPL. The game will see many star players. Butler, Odean Smith, Liam Livingstone, Gabbar, Samson, Rabada, and Boult!  

3) Lucknow Super Giants VS Gujarat Titans: 

Date: 28th March 2022 and 10th May 2022 

Each and every cricket fan is waiting for these two teams to get to the field. Every fan wants to witness the two teams with their fans, logos, and their amazing jerseys. It will also be nice to see two friends, Hardik and KL going up against each other as skippers of the teams. Both the teams will take the field against each other for the first time on 28th March and for the second time on 10th May. Rashid will lock horns against KL, Hardik will go against Bishnoi, Gill will bat against Avesh! 

4) Chennai Super Kings VS Royal Challengers Bangalore will be seen in TATA IPL 2022: 

Date: 12th April 2022 and 4th May 2022 

Another rivalry that has been brewing over the years is the South-Indian derby. Both the teams from this part of the nation will lock horns two times in TATA IPL 2022. The first game is on 12th April and the next is on 4th May. This game first turned into a rivalry in the 2011 IPL final. These games have given us iconic contests like Ravi Ashwin against Chris Gayle, Deepak Chahar against Virat Kohli, Starc against MSD!  

5) Mumbai Indians VS Chennai Super Kings:

Date: 21st April 2022 and 12th May 2022 

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, this game is the El Classico of the world of cricket. This is one of the most iconic rivalries. This is the Ashes of franchise cricket. These games have given us iconic moments. The spell of Mitchell Johnson in 2013, Sanath Jayasuriya’s 100 in 2009, Dwayne Bravo’s heroics in 2018, Kieron Pollard’s masterclass in 2013, 2015, and 2021. Kieron Pollard becomes a different player when playing against CSK. He switches to his beast mode. Different strategies are on display. We have seen fielders placed just behind the umpire to get Polly out! Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, MSD, Jaddu, Hardik, Pollard, and many more faces have made these contests their own!
