The highlight of the auction for the Chennai Super Kings was buying Ben Stokes for 16 Crore. The team is looking for someone to replace MS Dhoni next year and Ben can be the perfect choice. So, the 16 Crore spent in this auction is an investment for the next year. With that being said, Aakash Chopra wasn’t very impressed with this buy of the Chennai Super Kings because the captaincy can be given to someone like Jadeja or Moeen Ali in MSD’s absence. Kyle Jamieson for the base price was an absolute steal too. He is their value pick of the auction. They have insane batting depth.
