A lot of people will expect Ishan Kishan or Rohit Sharma to have a good season. But it is part and parcel of these established players. But for someone like Tilak Varma, it is an opportunity to bloom. They may consider him as an allrounder, but Tilak is more of an exclusive batter for Mumbai Indians. He can be given the number 4 position if Surya wants to bat at number 3. Being left-handed helps the team balance.
Tilak can also give 2 to 3 overs of spin if required. Last year, he was the best batter of the Mumbai Indians as Surya was out due to injury, and Rohit and Kishan had a poor season. All eyes will be on Tilak in this TATA IPL season as his trailer last season was fun to watch.
Win Percentage of the Mumbai Indians in TATA IPL 2023:
There is a 60% to 65% chance that the Mumbai Indians will win this season. They have strong opposition. What doesn’t work in their favor is the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Their bowling might struggle if Jofra Archer leaks some runs. The absence of Jhye Richardson has done them no favor as well. They can certainly make it to the playoffs. They have the batting to get them there. Tim David and Cameron Green will also be crucial players.
