Team India to wear Adidas Jersey in ICC WTC 2023 Final: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) established a multi-year partnership with the apparel tycoons Adidas on May 23, 2023, thus Team India will soon be donning a brand-new uniform with the Adidas emblem sticking out boldly on their shirts.
The brand-new cricket jersey for Team India is out. On June 7 at the Oval, Rohit Sharma and company will compete in the WTC Final 2023 against Australia wearing new Adidas jerseys. Adidas and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have signed a five-year agreement that will end in March 2028.
The deal, which is valued at 350 crore rupees ($70), has not received any formal confirmation. Killer, which temporarily stepped in after MPL pulled out of the kit sponsorship arrangement, will be replaced by the German firm. The jersey will be worn by the India Cricket Team in all three cricket genres—men’s, women’s, and age-group Cricket.
“We are committed to helping grow the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world’s leading sportswear brands, Adidas, in this journey. With its rich historical legacy in sports, world-class products, and strong global reach, Adidas will play an important role in driving the performance and future success of different categories of Indian cricket,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said of the deal.
In the meantime, Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden also had a few words on the deal. He said “We are proud to partner with BCCI and Team India, the most iconic team in India. Cricket is the most important sport in India, and it is very important for us to be visible and invest in it. We could not have found a better partner than BCCI. I believe India to be the fastest-growing sports market for the next decades. We are very committed to supporting our team to become the best sports brand in India.”
Adidas will produce the uniforms for the India ‘A’ Men’s and Women’s National Team, India ‘B’ Men’s and Women’s National Team, India U19 Men’s and Women’s National Team, as well as its coaches and staff, in addition to the Men’s and Women’s Senior National Cricket Team.
The BCCI and Adidas collaboration will advance Indian cricket both on and off the field as the sports company brings its cutting-edge innovations and experience. Adidas has a long history of providing some of the top sports teams in the world with athletic footwear and clothing.
