Vivo IPL 2021: Teamwise List of IPL Players who might pull out of phase2 of the Vivo IPL 2021

Vivo IPL 2021: Teamwise List of IPL Players who might pull out of phase2 of the Vivo IPL 2021.

Vivo IPL 2021: The fourteenth season of the Vivo Indian Premier League (IPL) was earlier midway rested as the deadly virus entered various bio bubbles. Days after the suspension of the IPL 2021, the BCCI officially announced that the tournament will be back in action during September-October in the UAE.

Although this was delightful news for every cricket fan and the franchise owner, there were a couple of other complexities that needed to be addressed.

Due to packed international calendars and excessive bubble fatigue, the overseas cricketers had earlier indicated their stance on whether they will be available for the second phase of the IPL 2021 or not.

The Indian T20 League experience such a huge success is because there is an element of overseas players who add flavour to the Indian core.

Although the franchise owners are hopeful of BCCI pulling off things well with their overseas counterparts to make their IPL bound cricketers available for the upcoming competition, the doubt will always be there.

In this article, we will discuss all these players who might pull out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 due to various reasons.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) expectations have always been to somehow get out of the tag called Under Dog’s, however, the franchise has failed miserably to overcome that.

Sanju Samson and his men have won just three games out of seven in the recent IPL 2021 and are placed fifth.

The team has heavily relied on their overseas cricketers especially on English players, which is a sign of worry for the management.

The English players, as said earlier, are likely to be out of the IPL 2021.

The likes of Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer and  Liam Livingstone will be the prominent names to remain out of the IPL 2021 second phase.

Besides these Mustafizur Rahman and Andrew Tye are also likely to pull out.

Players likely to miss the UAE leg: Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Liam Livingstone, Andrew Tye, Mustafizur Rahman.

The Shahrukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) struggled to perform in the first half. The majority of its players went out of form suddenly after the first win.

Their skipper Eoin Morgan was a major failure along with openers not providing resistance.

Morgan could miss the second half as ECB managing director Ashley Giles had indicated that they will not allow their players to play in any league due to the packed international schedule.

Pat Cummins might also miss due to excessive bubble fatigue and mental stress.

Shakib al Hasan (Bangladesh), Tim Siefert (NZ) and Lockie Ferguson (NZ) will be in their national duties for their respective teams.

Players likely to miss the UAE leg: Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins, Shakib Al Hasan, Lockie Ferguson, Tim Seifert.

Rishabh Pant captained Delhi Capitals (DC) was the top performer in the first half with six wins in eight matches. The young skipper managed his resources and players quite well and brought the best out of them.

The franchise will not be tensed for their overseas players as they have a good combination of domestic cricketers.

Moreover, their premier pacers, who come from South Africa, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje are almost certain to join the franchise in the second phase.

The troubling factor will be the absence of Steve Smith and Marcus Stoinis. Both the Australians might miss the second leg due to national duties.

Besides these, English cricketers Sam Billings, Chris Woakes, Tom Curran are the ones who may also miss the tournament, but that doesn’t make much difference.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH):

The SRH was the most underperforming team of the IPL 2021 phase 1 as the team managed to seal just one win in seven outings.

Their batting saw the occasional collapse, the bowling unit leaked runs and the middle order couldn’t provide enough help to the tone set by the top order.

The skipper David Warner was sacked from his captaincy roles after multiple batting failures and Kane Williamson was appointed the leader for the season.

The franchise will lose its heart if foreign players don’t show up to play for them.

Australian David Warner and English Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy along with Kane Williamson are probable to miss the tournament.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) had its usual season of the IPL where the franchise struggled to find the pace. Barring KL Rahul in the opening slot and young Shahrukh Khan in the middle order, none of the batsmen showed consistency.

Kings will also deal with their losses due to unavailability of the foreign players. The franchise had spent a lot in its overseas department during the IPL 2021 auctions.

Its English cricketers – Chris Jordan, Dawid Malan- and Australian cricketers – Moises Henriques, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith- for usual reasons are likely to pull out.

A pretty fascinating year for the RCB fans as the team looked in total control and one of the notable names to lift the IPL trophy. The inclusion of Glenn Maxwell and Kyle Jamieson has worked for the team.

The happiness and joy didn’t last long as the tournament got suspended and now the availability of their two key players will be a big question.

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and New Zealand all-rounder Kyle Jamison will be their main focus in the overseas department.

Both the players are likely to be involved in their national duties and are expected to miss the remainder of the IPL 2021.

Players likely to miss the UAE leg: Finn Allen, Kyle Jamieson, Glenn Maxwell, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa.

The five-time champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) started their campaign as the favourites, however, the combination has lacked several areas and doesn’t look like a team to beat this season.

With four wins in seven games, MI stands in the fourth slot in the points table.

The worrying factor for MI would be the availability of kiwi players in the IPL 2021.

Trent Boult is a key bowler in the Mumbai set-up and has made consistent appearances for the team in the last two years.

New Zealand will have their schedules against other teams due to which the pacer is likely to miss the second leg.

Boult’s kiwi mates Adam Milne and James Neesham are also on the same page.

Players likely to miss the UAE leg: Trent Boult, James Neesham, Adam Milne.

The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were one of the best teams, performance-wise, during the first half of the IPL 2021. The outfit in yellow reminds second in the points table with five wins in seven games.

The overseas contingent of CSK has been on a roll this season, which is one of the main reasons for their consistent run.

English all-rounder Moeen Ali and Sam Curran have contributed beautifully with both bat and ball.

Faf du Plessis was good in the opening order.

CSK might face a severe setback if England Cricket Board (ECB) does not allow its players to feature in the IPL 2021.

Players likely to miss the UAE leg: Sam Curran, Moeen Ali, Jason Behrendorff, Mitchell Santer.
