This Youngster is named RCB Skipper for IPL 2025 - Can he break RCB’s jinx and lead them to the maiden IPL Trophy?
Not Virat Kohli, no overseas giant nor all-rounder Krunal Pandya, MP domestic skipper named RCB's skipper for IPL 2025.

The much-recognized and highly regarded IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore, has finally made a much-awaited announcement before the IPL 2025. The side added several new players to their squad during the mega-auctions.

RCB, having retained only three players before the mega-auction, could only hand retention to players like veteran Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, and Yash Dayal. Leaving Faf du Plessis marked the ray of hope for fans that Virat Kohli might be seen once again in the role of the skipper to their fan-favourite IPL franchise.

Reports claimed the same until some reports confirmed that Rajat Patidar is instead the front-runner for the role of RCB skipper. Likely so, the Royal Challengers Bangalore management has taken their call on appointing Rajat Patidar as the skipper for RCB in IPL 2025

Rajat Patidar contended with this teammate for the role, and it's not Virat Kohli

Rajat Patidar named the skipper for RCB

The RCB management named Rajat Patidar the skipper, but the other player in the team with relatively more experience in IPL as well as domestic games and some amount of cricket played on the international front for the Men in Blue, Krunal Pandya, also looked like a likeable candidate, rather the most deserving one if Kohli is not picked for the same.

However, the RCB management seemed to have overlooked the Baroda skipper, as the Madhya Pradesh skipper has been more promising in their sight.

Patidar will now lead a side consisting of a pile of international giants like Virat Kohli, Liam Livingstone, Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Phil Salt, and also Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Awaiting their maiden IPL title, Rajat Patidar would also be carrying the burden of hopes of all RCB fans who have been patient and devoted over the years.
