New Zealand's cricket team ODI wicket-keeper batsman Tom Latham has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan, Latham is having a fractured on his right hand. Tom Latham got injured during a training session, when a bowl was struck on the hand, while batting in the nets. a minimum of four weeks of rest is being told to Latham.

Squad Adjustments and Leadership Changes -

Henry Nicholls has been named as Latham replacement in the squad. Nicholls had been sidelined earlier in this season due to a calf strain in November. However, Nicholls made his comeback this month, by record 5 fifty-plus scores in 6 domestic innings

Michael Bracewell will continue to lead the team in the ODI series in absence of Tom Latham. Bracewell has already shows his leadership capabilities as the current T20I captain. Mitch Hay might assume the wicket-keeper in Latham's absence. 

Further Squad Updates -

And the opener batsman Will Young will miss the second and third games of the series because of the birth of his first child. Will Young awill participate in the opening match in his hometown of Napier before being replaced by Rhys Mariu, a 23-year-old batsman who earns his maiden call-up as batting cover.

Gary Stead, the Coach of the New Zealand team, has expressed confidence in the team's ability to adapt to conditional changes. Gary highlighted the opportunities present for other players, he welcoming the youngster Rhys Mariu into the environment for the first time in place of Henry Nicholls' valuable skills and experience. Gary also wished Latham a quick recovery from injury and make best wishes to Will Young for this special time.

New Zealand's ODI squad will start in Napier ahead of the series opener. The ODI series is scheduled as follows:

1st ODI – 11:00 AM, March 29, Saturday

Stadium - McLean Park, Napier

2nd ODI – 11:00 AM , April 2 AM , Wednesday

Stadium - Seddon Park, Hamilton

3rd ODI – 11:00 AM, April 5, Saturday 

Stadium - Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui
