Top 3 Major Milestones achieved in yesterday’s IPL match between PBKS vs KKR
The Punjab Kings have scripted history, winning the game against KKR on their home ground. Why is the huge win so special for the Kings? It’s because they defended the lowest score in the history of the IPL. They beat the Knight Riders by just 16 runs in this low-scoring affair.
The game began with KKR bowlers stunning in the first innings to dismiss the in-form PBKS batters. The likes of Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine bagged multiple wickets, while no other bowler went wicketless in the game.
But the chase looked very comfortable for the Knight Riders batters, as the bowlers did an unthinkable job dismissing the opposition for just 95 runs. Chahal was the wizard of the PBKS bowling innings, and Marco Jansen, who was handed the new ball and bowled towards the end as well, stunned with his triplet spell.

While CSK had the record of defending the lowest IPL score of 116 against this opposition, the Kings XI Punjab (now known as the Punjab Kings), the Punjab Kings have surpassed them on the list as they defended a further lower total of just 111/10.

This 4/28 spell marked Yuzi Chahal’s eighth 4-wicket haul in the IPL, while he levelled with KKR veteran Sunil Narine for having the most 4-wicket hauls in the history of the Indian Premier League.
