3. Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant
The opening partnership which India tried to use as an experiment in India’s recent T20I series against England was that of Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant. The explosive left-handed opener was provided with an opportunity to open the batting with skipper Rohit Sharma considering his red hot form during that period.
The wicket-keeper batsman has got the ability to bat fearlessly and play big shots with ease against quality bowling lineups. Although we’ve not been able to see the best of Rishabh Pant the opener in T20Is so far for India, he might seriously stand a chance to be India’s X factor at the top of the order just in case he gets a chance.
