Mumbai Indians opted to go with Jaydev Unadkat for the IPL 2022 as their left-arm pace option. Unadkat, being one of the most experienced bowlers, was expected to deliver quality overs upfront.
However, the pacer couldn’t justify his role scalping just six wickets from five matches at an expensive economy of over 9.
With Mumbai anticipating Jofra Archer’s comeback in the IPL 2023, Unadkat might face an axe from the team. There are slight chances that MI might keep him as a backup pacer as well.
