The IPL 2022 Mega Auction Day 1 was very eventful. We saw many players going for the big bucks. But it was mainly the Indian players that got the big money. However, some teams also made a few values picks. These value packs are the players that should have got more money but have been stolen smartly at a lower price. The teams are looking sold as of now. The Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are moving ahead slowly and smoothly in their auction too. Here is a look at the value picks on Day 1 of IPL Mega Auction:

5) Jason Roy for 2 Crores to the Gujarat Titans:

With the openers expected to go for big money getting Jason Roy for 2 Crores is a big steal! Roy is going to play for the Gujarat Titans. It was a wise choice by the management as the Ahmedabad pitch will suit Roy well. The pitch has bounced on offer. If the IPL is played in Mumbai, it will help them as well because Mumbai too has a bounce on offer. Roy will bring along with him a lot of experience too.

4) Kuldeep Yadav for 2 Crores to Delhi Capitals is one of the Value Picks:

With every team looking for a good leg spinner, the Delhi Capitals have made a steal by getting Kuldeep at 2 Crores. I currently do not see much difference in Yuzi and Kuldeep except the fact that Kuldeep has fallen out of favor of the teams. Kuldeep is a value pick. He will get you at least 3 overs per game. Kuldeep has worked on his fitness too while he was at the NCA. He is difficult to pick and beats the batsmen in the air.

3) Shreyas Gopal for 75 lakhs to Sunrisers Hyderabad is one of the Value Picks:

Shreyas Gopal, the tall leg spinner from Karnataka is finally going to get his due. Again, with leg spinners being an integral part of any team, Shreyas will get many opportunities. He was benched at RR which made less sense. The Mumbai wickets always have turns and bounce which is more than ideal for a tall leg spinner.

2) Rahul Chahar for 5.25 Crores to Punjab Kings:

Rahul Chahar went for a decent 5.25 Crores. It was one of the top value picks as the teams had held their purse of Indian leg spinners. Ness Wadia was visibly happy after picking Rahul in the team. The Mohali ground is again ideal for leg spinners as it is large. However, Mumbai Indians would have been glad to have him back in the team.

1) Quinton De Kock for 6.75 Crores to the Lucknow Super Giants:

If Nicholas Pooran takes home 10.75 Crores, you can imagine what a value pick QDK is for 6.75 Crores. Quinton De Kock solves two problems, the opening conundrum, and the wicket-keeping vows. After his exploits against India in the recently concluded series, he was expected to go beyond 10 Crores but at 6.75 Crores, he is one of the most elite deals
