Total Purse Value/Money Remaining with each IPL team for IPL 2022 Mega Auction: The IPL fever has already begun following among the cricket fans, as BCCI gears up to organise the most anticipated IPL 2022 Mega Auction in Bangaluru. The waiting game is all but over for the crazy fans of the Indian Premier League (IPL), as in less than 24 hours, the mega auction will begin.

Indian Premier League (IPL) is the toughest T20 league in the world and the addition of the two new IPL teams have added a bit of spice and flavour to the competition.

Lucknow SuperGiants and Gujarat Titans have been added to the pool of eight existing IPL teams. The ten teams affair will heat up the environment and cause multiple bidding wars.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) increased the total purse value of each IPL franchise ahead of the IPL 2022. Teams were allocated INR 90 Crores, each, to spend on the purchase of players during and before the mega auction.

The salary of the retained/draft pick players will be deducted from the total purse value i.e., INR 90 Crores. 

The Mohali based Punjab Kings (PBKS) has the highest amount of money left for the IPL 2022 Mega Auction while Delhi Capitals (DC) have the lowest purse value.

As per the latest rule, each franchise must have a squad strength of maximum of 25 players or at least 18 players for the IPL 2022. Out of these players, at most eight players can be overseas. Every franchise will have to liquidate at least INR 67.5 Crores from their total purse value in the mega auction.

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction will be telecasted on Star Sports Network while the broadcasting will be available in Disney Plus Hotstar. The packed action of the mega auction will begin at 12 noon.
