Vivo IPL 2021: Trent Boult wants to finish the IPL 2021 campaign for MI if he gets a chance.

Vivo IPL 2021: New Zealand and Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer has said that he would love to complete the Vivo IPL 2021 campaign for his IPL franchise which is scheduled to take place in UAE.

The BCCI has earlier released that the remaining 31 assignments of the Vivo IPL 2021 will be held in the UAE in the window of September-October.

Trent Boult is surely enjoying his time in the IPL, especially after coming to the Mumbai Indians (MI). He has expressed his excitement to play the lucrative league if he gets a chance for that.

“It’s (India) is a beautiful place to go, I obviously have experienced India a lot, the fans and culture too but it was different this time, obviously very quiet, the usual hum around the streets, the fans were just not there,” Pacer Boult said in the virtual press conference.

“It was differently different to play half of the tournament. Looks like it’s moving forward to the UAE, it was held very nicely last year there. If I’ll get a chacen I’ll be looking forward to finishing the campaign off myself,” he added.

Boult, who scalped eight wickets for Mumbai Indians (MI) feels that the situation escalated pretty quickly in the span of just a month. He also said that he felt lucky to play the IPl 2021 before it was abruptly suspended.

“I suppose things obviously escalated pretty quickly over there. I made the decision to come home and get a bit of time with my family.”

“Very grateful in the first place to be involved in the IPL to get an opportunity to play on that stage. What happened was very unfortunate and I am glad that I came out safely and can move forward now.”

The availability of overseas players will be a big question for the BCCI. The board is initiating talks with other cricket boards to seek their stance on this issue.

The final call regarding the overseas players will be taken in July weather they need any replacement or can go ahead as planned.
