Trouble for Riyan Parag! Rajasthan Royals player fined by BCCI even after win against CSK
Rajasthan Royals (RR) player Riyan Parag has come under massive scanner after the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The 11th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was hosted by Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday (30th March).
Riyan Parag has been fined by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for maintaining a slow over-rate against Chennai Super Kings. The stand-in skipper of Rajasthan Royals has been fined INR 12 lakh for the offence that he committed in the 11th game of the league.

Riyan Parag was fined under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. This was his first offence in the league, and hence, a Demerit Point will be added to his disciplinary record. Releasing the official statement, the IPL governing council said:
"Mr. Riyan Parag, Captain, Rajasthan Royals has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during Match 11 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Chennai Super Kings at the ACA Stadium, Guwahati on 30th March, 2025.
"As this was his team’s first offence of the season under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which pertains to minimum over-rate offences, Parag was fined INR 12 lakhs."
Riyan Parag had a decent outing in the game against Chennai Super Kings. The all-rounder, who lost the first two games as a skipper, finally managed a win as a leader and now will be playing as a batter with Sanju Samson set to take back the command of the game.
Riyan Parag played a vital hand of 37 runs off 28 balls against Chennai Super Kings, while batting at number four. His innings with the bat powered his team to a total of 182 for nine. With the ball, Rajasthan were exceptional as they restricted the opposition to 176 to win the game by 6 runs.
