Updated IPL Points Table 2025 After RR vs MI; MI Stormed into TOP SPOT!
IPL Points Table 2025: In a high-stakes clash at the Wankhede, Mumbai Indians (MI) delivered a dominant all-round performance to crush Rajasthan Royals (RR) and stormed to the top of the IPL 2025 points table.
After being invited to bat first, MI put up a commanding show with the bat before their bowling unit dismantled the Royals, sealing their sixth straight victory and officially eliminating RR from the tournament.
MI’s batting lineup fired on all cylinders with Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma laying a solid foundation in the powerplay, reaching 58 without loss. The duo stitched together 116 runs before Rickelton departed in the 12th over. Rohit soon followed after a well-compiled 53.
However, it was Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya who truly decimated the RR attack with aggressive cameos, scoring 48 each off just 23 balls, lifting MI to a daunting 217.
RR’s chase never took off—Bumrah ripped through the top order and Karn Sharma, brought in as an impact sub, spun a web to claim three wickets. RR were reduced to five down in the powerplay and never recovered, despite Jofra Archer’s late fireworks.
With this win, MI now sit comfortably at the top of the IPL table with 14 points and a massive Net Run Rate of +1.274. RCB, also with 14 points, trail on NRR, while Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans remain in close pursuit. RR and CSK are now officially out of the playoffs race, while SRH are hanging by a thread.
