Virat Kohli becomes the first Asian Celebrity to cross 100 Million followers on Instagram.
Indian Cricket skipper, Virat Kohli on Monday reached another landmark as he crossed the 100 Million followers mark on Instagram. With this, he becomes the only celebrity in Asia to cross 100 Million followers.
Besides Virat Kohli, India’s next best is Actress Priyanka Jonas Chopra with 60.8 Million Instagram Followers while Bollywood Actress Shraddha Kapoor is at 3rd with 58 Million followers.
Among the Cricket Fraternity, Virat Kohli leads the chart with 100 Million Followers on Instagram followed by MS Dhoni (30.4 Million), Sachin Tendulkar (27.8 Million) and Rohit Sharma (17.5 Million).
Star footballer Christiano Ronaldo leads the chart in the list of most number of Instagram followers in the entire world. Ronaldo having 266 Million followers is the most followed celebrity on Instagram while singer Ariana Grande with 224 million followers is number two on the list. WWE superstar turned actor Dwayne Rock Johnson is placed number three with 220 Million followers. Football star Lionel Messi and Neymar are the other two celebrities who are placed in the top 5.
International Cricket Council (ICC) shared the cricket milestone saying, “Virat Kohli – the first cricket star to hit 100 million followers on Instagram.”
Apart from Instagram, Virat Kohli deals a massive following in the other social media platforms too. He has 40.8 Million followers on Twitter, while over 36 Million likes on Facebook. It is worth noting that Kohli reached 100 Million from 50 Million in just one year. Earlier, he was also the first Asian celebrity to cross the 50 Million and 75 Million followers mark.
Virat Kohli is currently leading the Indian national test side against England at Ahmedabad with a 2-1 lead. The last test will begin on 04th March.
Interestingly, Virat Kohli was also ranked number 1 for the fourth consecutive year as the most valuable celebrity. He left behind the likes of Bollywood big guns – Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan.
According to the reports, his total brand value was USD 237.7 million while the second and third place was acquired by Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh.
