India vs England 2nd ODI: Virat Kohli hits another milestone as he slams another fifty in the 2nd ODI game.

India vs England 2nd ODI: During the ongoing 2nd ODI between India and England, Indian skipper Virat Kohli storms into another milestone. Kohli completes his 10,000 One Day International runs batting at number three position for India.

The skipper produced another half-century knock in the second ODI. He scored 66 runs off 79 balls including three boundaries and a six.

With this, he becomes the only second cricketer in the world to score 10,000 ODI runs at number 3. Australian former skipper Ricky Ponting was the first player to achieve this feat.

Ponting has 12,660 runs in ODI’s batting at number 3 in 330 innings.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli breached the landmark playing his 190th innings.

The third cricketer in the list of highest run-getter at number three is Sri Lankan former captain Kumar Sangakkara. He has 9,474 runs under his belt from 238 innings. The other cricketer on the list is South African Jacques Kallis with 7,774 runs.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul produced a brilliant fightback after drooping two quick wickets. While Kohli produced another half-century, KL Rahul smacked a fine hundred to pose 336 runs on board.

Complementing Rahul and Kohli’s contribution, young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant amassed a quickfire 77 runs of mere 40 deliveries. His short entertaining innings comprise of three boundaries and seven towering sixes with a strike rate of 192.50.

Team India is leading the three games ODI series with 1-0 after the first game. If the hosts manage to win the second one also then the series will be sealed while England will have to bounce back to keep this series alive for the decider.
