India vs Australia: Ahead of the World Test Championship Final, Indian cricketer Virat Kohli commended Australian player Steve Smith by stating that he is the best player of this generation. Virat Kohli praised Steve Smith for his adaptability, brilliance, and the consistency with which he scores runs.
“Steve Smith, according to me, is the best Test player of this generation. Over some time, he has displayed that his adaptability is brilliant. If you take any cricketer of this generation, in 85–90 Tests, he has an average of 60, which is quite unbelievable. The kind of consistency and impact with which he scores—I haven’t seen any Test player doing that in the last 10 years. It is a credit to his skills and temperament,” Virat Kohli told Star Sports.
Steve Smith has amassed 8792 runs from 96 tests, which include 30 hundred and 37 half-centuries. While Indian batter Virat Kohli has secured 8416 runs from 108 Tests, that includes 28 centuries and 28 half-centuries.
