VIVO IPL 2021 was originally scheduled between 9 April 2021 and 39 MAy 2021 in India. Initially, 29 matches were completed successfully but later due to the COVID situation BCCI postponed the remaining 31 matches.

The 14th edition of the IPL was set to be played in six different venues of India without public means in the closed doors. One team was supposed to play their league matches on 4 venues and there was no concept of a home and away team. The Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad was going to host all the playoff and Final matches of IPL 2021.
There was a total of 11 doubleheaders in IPL 2021. Qualifier-1 was to be played on 25 May and Qualifier- 2 on 28 May in Ahmedabad (postponed). You can click on the match centre for playing 11, scorecard, and live update.

IPL 2021 Schedule Explained:
- There is a total of 60 T20 matches to be played in IPL 2021.
- Due to the ICC’s tight schedule, BCC advanced IPL 2021 to 1 week and IPL 2021 started on 9 April and was supposed to be finished by 30 May.
- Due to the COVID situation in INDIA BCCI postponed all the matches from 3rd May 2021.
- You should know that the BCCI decided also to increase overseas players’ limit from 4 to 5 from IPL 2021.
The IPL 2022 season 15 could feature 10 teams instead of 8. IPL 2021 will be played closed-door without public.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) choose India as the primary venue for IPL 2021 but due to the COVID surge, IPL 2021 was discontinued in between and shifted to UAE. There was a total of 6 cricket stadiums where IPL 2021 was originally planned.
