They added 91 runs for the first wicket, and after that, it was Nicholas Pooran (56*), who slammed a brutal fifty and batted till the end.
Marsh, at the other end, registered a magnificent century as he, along with Pooran, added 121 runs for the second wicket to put Gujarat bowlers under massive pressure. Skipper Rishabh Pant (16*), in the end, finished the innings on high as LSG posted a massive total of 235 for two.
Chasing the target, Gujarat Titans had a decent start to their innings as Shubman Gill (35) and Sai Sudharsan (21) added 46 runs for the opening partnership. Jos Buttler (33), at three, played a vital hand, too, but after his wicket, Gujarat's middle order came to a test as the top three got out under 100 for the first time in the tournament.
However, Shahrukh Khan (57) and Sherfane Rutherford (38) aced that challenge brilliantly as they stitched 86 runs for the fourth wicket to put LSG under pressure. However, William ORourke (3/27) changed the game in his team's favour with two wickets in one over.
After that, LSG kept taking wickets at regular intervals and restricted Gujarat to 202 for nine to win the game by 33 runs.
