The second match of the ongoing three-match T20I series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet, Bangladesh, in which even though the home team had the upper hand over Sri Lanka, the match was stopped for about five minutes due to wrong umpiring. Actually, something happened in the middle of the match when Sri Lankan bowler Binura Fernando was bowling the fourth over of the innings. On the very first ball, he got Bangladeshi opener batsman Soumya Sarkar caught out by the wicketkeeper. The on-field umpire also declared him out, after which Soumya Sarkar asked for a review. It was clearly visible in the review that the ball had touched the bat, whose butt was ultra-edged. But still, the third umpire declared him not out.

After the wrong decision of the third umpire, the displeasure of all the Sri Lankan players was clearly visible on the field. All the players were seen expressing their displeasure by surrounding the on-field umpire.

Bangladeshi captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss in the second T20I match and invited the visiting team to bat first. The Sri Lankan team, batting first, managed to score 165 runs at the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Chasing the target, the Bangladeshi team defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the second T20I match in just 18.2 overs and leveled the three-match series at 1-1.

Whenever Bangladesh and Sri Lanka face each other on the ground, the match remains at a high temperature. In such a situation, the series is tied at 1-1, and the last match will be played on March 9. Now it will be exciting to see that the Sri Lankan team will prevail over home team Bangladesh, win the final T20, and capture the series.
