India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma took the team to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 win under his leadership after having a tough last few months. The Men in Blue beat New Zealand in the final by 4 wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (9th March). 

India captain Rohit Sharma was the major reason behind the team winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The opening batter led from the front and made sure that he gave the nation a second ICC title within one year, having won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024. 

Rohit Sharma played a brilliant innings in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy as he led from the front and took his team to the win. The opening batter took his team off to a flying start with the bat in the chase of 252 runs on a pitch that was difficult for batting. 

Rohit Sharma was the highest run-getter for India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The opening batter played an innings of 76 as his powerful start with the bat put New Zealand under pressure right from the start, as he hit bowlers all over the park. 

As a leader, Rohit Sharma was spot on with his leadership as well. The skipper was tactically brilliant throughout the tournament. The India captain made brilliant bowling changes throughout the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and the way he used his spinners was one of the highlights of his leadership. 

With the win in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Rohit Sharma etched his name in record books. He became the second India captain to win multiple ICC events as he earlier won the ICC T20 World 2024 in June last year when India beat South Africa in the final. He joined MS Dhoni in unique llst. 

Rohit Sharma, with two back-to-back ICC trophies, has earned a special place in the hearts of the Indian fans. The India captain received a warm welcome from fans at the Mumbai Airport. Hundreds of fans gathered there to cheer for the skipper as he walked out and sat in his car.
