Watch KL Rahul’s house decorated with lights amid rumours of his marriage with Athiya Shetty: Team India’s star batter KL Rahul’s house has been decked with beautiful lighting and flowers as the cricketer is rumoured to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend Athiya Shetty, later this month. The two have been in a relationship for a very long time and are often seen together in pictures and videos.
Notably, as of now, there is no official confirmation of the two getting married, however, decoration on KL Rahul’s house in Bandra fuels the rumours. The cricketer’s Sandhu Palace flat is adorned with hanging yellow lights and flowers. The video of the same was posted by ET Times on Twitter a day ago.
As per several reports from the media outlets, the cricketer-actor couple is likely to exchange vows on 23rd January in Sunil Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. However, the details couldn’t be verified as the respective families are tight-lipped.
KL Rahul to miss New Zealand Series
Meanwhile, KL Rahul is also set to miss the upcoming three-game ODI series and as many matches T20I series against New Zealand. The opener batter isn’t involved in any of the squads for the series against New Zealand.
Interestingly, while announcing the squads for the New Zealand series, BCCI stated that KL Rahul won’t take part in the upcoming matches owing to some personal commitments.
India and New Zealand will kick off the tour with three matches 50-over series which will begin in Hyderabad on the 18th of January. The two sides will then move to Raipur and Indore respectively on January 21 and 24 for the other two ODIs.
The three-match T20I series will begin on January 27 in Ranchi followed by Lucknow on Jan 29 and Ahmedabad on February 1.
