India skipper Rohit Sharma was yet again at his aggressive best with the bat in the powerplay against Pakistan in the ongoing 2025 ICC Champions Trophy clash. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium is host to the biggest cricket match between the two rivals. 

After India bundled out Pakistan for just 241 runs, Rohit Sharma yet again carried on that aggressive intent in the powerplay. The captain attacked Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi, taking his team off to a flying start with the bat yet again in the ODI cricket. 

Rohit Sharma first took Naseem Shah to the cleaners and then attempted to do the same against Shaheen Afridi as well. The India skipper hit a magnificent four over the covers and put the Pakistan National Cricket Team bowlers under pressure with his approach. 

However, after getting hit for a four, Shaheen Afridi came up with a brutal reply as he made India captain Rohit Sharma look clueless. The left-arm pacer produced a staggering delivery to which the opening batter had no clue and ended up getting out. 

Shaheen Afridi bowled a full, fast, inswinging yorker that went between the bat and boot of Rohit Sharma and cleaned up a middle stump. The India skipper was beaten all ends up as the pacer delivered one of the best balls of the game.

Rohit Sharma played a nice little cameo, taking his team off to a good start. The India captain, who was batting hamstring injury, played an innings of 20 runs off 15 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 133 and hit three fours and 1 six. 

The onus now will be on vice-captain Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and others to take India home. The young batter has looked positive yet again and has played some magnificent strokes, looking set for another big knock.
