Defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be playing the tournament opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The match is expected to be a blockbuster clash as both teams over the years have engaged in enthralling battles.

The start of the new season, however, didn't go the way he would've wanted. Virat Kohli was clean bowled in the first-ever net session that he had ahead of the IPL 2025. He was cleaned up by the local net bowler as his stumps went for a ride.
