Watch: Yashasvi Jaiswal takes a blinder on debut to remove Ben Duckett; gives glimpses of Travis Head's WC final catch
India Cricket Team player Yashasvi Jaiswal is making sure that he makes his debut a special one.

India Cricket Team player Yashasvi Jaiswal is making sure that he makes his debut a special one. The batter was included in the team for the first ODI against England, which is underway at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was given the debut cap after Virat Kohli missed the first game of the series due to a knee injury. The young batter didn't take much time to make an impact as he came up with the magical catch in the field to send the England opener, Ben Duckett, packing.

It was during the third ball of the 10th over when Harshit Rana bowled short of length delivery that bounced more than Duckett anticipated. The ball got to the top edge of the batter's bat, and it seemed that the ball would land safely, but Yashasvi Jaiswal came up with a sensational effort.

Yashasvi Jaiswal ran a long way back from mid-wicket. He kept his eyes on the ball and looked over his shoulders. The young batter maintained his speed brilliantly and then timed his dive to perfection to take the magical catch and give Harshit Rana his first wicket.

You can watch the video at the end:

The catch of Yashasvi Jaiswal gave glimpses of Travis Head's catch in the ICC World Cup 2023 against India. The Australia batter picked a similar kind of catch to remove India skipper Rohit Sharma and it surely tilted the game in favour of his team.

The catch of Yashasvi Jaiswal also turned the momentum in favour of India as, after a solid start with the bat, England lost quick wickets. Ben Duckett, who looked solid with the bat, ended with an inning of 32 runs off 29 balls. He also slammed 6 boundaries in his innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is expected to bat in the top order for India in the ongoing game. Ye also has been named in the Indian team for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. It will be a great platform for him to grab the opportunity with both hands and make his case strong for the tournament.
