Himanshu Sangwan is currently the Lucifer of Indian fans, as the excitement that drew thousands of fans across the nation to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has been ruined by the sensational speedster. Virat Kohli, the heartthrob of millions of Indian cricket fans, was back after 15 years to play his first-ever Ranji Trophy match since 2010. The expectations were high as the crowd seemed pumped up and awaiting their superstar's return with the bat.

The chance to watch their favourite cricketer came when Kohli came onto bat at No. 4 for Delhi after the dismissal of Yash Dhull. However, it was not the best of the days for the GOAT but a remarkable day in the career of a young and promising Himanshu Sangwan, who got the best of the batter when he rattled his stumps with a stellar seam-up delivery that swung back sharply at the King of Indian cricket.

Right-arm medium-fast bowler Himanshu Sangwan is a 29-year-old cricketer who was born on September 2, 1995, in Delhi, India. The Delhi-born cricketer represents the Railways team in domestic cricket. Sangwan made his List A debut on September 27, 2019, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, followed by his T20 debut on November 8, 2019, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He is an Indian cricketer who has made a name for himself in domestic cricket with his impressive bowling.

He idolizes Australian fast-bowling legend Glenn McGrath and credits him for refining his bowling skills, particularly in seam positioning, as he claims to have learned all by observing the former great. As of now, Himanshu Sangwan has played a total of 23 first-class matches, 17 List-A matches, and 7 T20s and has taken 77, 21, and 5 wickets, respectively.

Sangwan’s story inspires all, while it also draws similarities to one of the finest Indian players, MS Dhoni. Belonging to a humble background, Sangwan started his career early and with loads of struggle aimed at what he gained today, dismissing one of the most decorated batters in the world. Before making his mark in cricket, Sangwan was employed as a ticket collector in Delhi, balancing his job while chasing his cricketing dreams.

From cricket to a job in the Railways and then continuing his career with the Ranji Trophy, it has not been easy for the Delhi boy. However, as said by greats, hard work often pays off, and the rising star could soon be seen knocking on the doors of the most premium Indian tournament, the IPL

During the Ranji Trophy clash between Delhi and Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Himanshu Sangwan grabbed headlines as he bowled star batter Virat Kohli for just 6 runs, while he also took the wicket of set batter Sanat Sangwan.

The pace bowler celebrated the wicket aggressively, letting out a loud roar and sprinting towards his teammates, as they all knew what heights he could achieve with his high-ended game.
