WI vs IND T20 2023: BCCI announces Team India Squad for T20 series against West Indies | India Tour of West Indies 2023: On July 5, The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) named a new T20I squad for the series against West Indies, and there are lots of Young faces in the team.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma will debut for the Indian Men’s team in the T20I Cricket against West Indies. The Seniors Players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be missing the T20 series against West Indies.
India will Tour Ireland for the ODI series, Which will be just after the End of the T20I series. So, Senior Players will be playing the ODI series to prepare for the Asia Cup and World Cup 2023.
The Pacer, Mukesh Kumar, is included in the T20I squad after being in the Test and ODI series, whereas Sanju Samson also made a comeback in T20 Cricket and will be the wicketkeeper.
BCCI named a new T20I squad:
Surprisingly, There is no space Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma in the Squad. They performed Phenomenally in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and led their franchise team to victory in many matches. They had done well as a finisher for their team but couldn’t get a call for the Indian Team in T20 cricket.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was also in great touch in the IPL 2023, will most probably open for Indian Team along with Shubman Gill in this series against West Indies.
In the Spin department, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel are in the squad, whereas Ravi Bishnoi is also in the team as a backup spin option.
In the Pace Department, Umran Malik, Avesh Khan, Mukes Kumar and Arshdeep Singh are in the squad, whereas Hardik Pandya could also bowl some overs. The Bowling Department looks very fresh, and there is no experienced player.
