Wishes started to pour as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are blessed with a daughter.

Modern-day great cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood celebrity Anuksha Sharma have been blessed with a daughter. Virat Kohli on Monday afternoon took his Twitter handle to inform to the fans and loved ones about the birth of a girl. Kohli thanked all the well-wishers, loved ones and fans for their constant support and prayers.

The cricketer further wrote that both the baby and the mother are healthy and safe. Virat Kohli also requested private privacy as both of them already clarified that they do not want their kid to grow in front of cameras.

“We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with the baby girl this afternoon. We thank all of you for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and baby both are healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter in our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time”.

After this tweet from Virat Kohli, wishes started to pour from all around the world.

Sachin Tendulkar wrote, “Congratulations @imVkohli & @AnushkaSharma on the arrival of the little angel in your lives! May her life be blessed with good health & love.”

“Big congratulations to both of you,” former India cricketer Irfan Pathan tweeted.

“Congratulations both of u,” badminton star Saina Nehwal wrote.

“Congratulations @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma for the baby girl, A very warm welcome to the club!” R Ashwin wrote.

Virat Kohli also shared a screenshot of the wishes in the Instagram handle. Not only India, official account of Lords Cricket also congratulated the couple for the new chapter.

“Many congratulations to you both, Virat,” the official account of the Lord’s Cricket Ground tweeted.

The couple married three years ago in 2017 and in late August 2020 they announced that they are expecting their child in January 2021. Virat Kohli was in Australia tour but had taken paternity leave to be with his wife Anushka Sharma.
