Women’s Asia Cup 2022: India will face Pakistan On October 7.

Women’s Asia Cup 2022: After Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2022, now Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022 is scheduled to kick start on the 1st of October, with the title clash scheduled for the 15th of the month. Hosts and defending champions Bangladesh will start the 2022 Women’s T20 Asia Cup against Thailand on October 1, with India taking on Sri Lanka in the second match of the day in Sylhet on the same day. The president of ACC, Jay Shah, announced on Twitter on Tuesday, that the semi-final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 will be played on October 13. Pakistan will open its campaign against Malaysia on October 2.

India-Pakistan will face off on October 7 in the Women’s Asia Cup 2022. Indian women have won every encounter with Pakistan till now in all the editions of the Women’s Asia Cup. Out of seven Women’s Asia Cup organized so far, India has won six, and stepped into finals each and every time. In fact, the undisputed Indian women’s team had not lost a single match in any edition of the Asia Cup so far except in the final of the Women’s Asia Cup 2018.

Of the seven teams set to play the Women’s Asia Cup 2022, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia have booked their berths through the qualifying route after entering the finals of the 10-team ACC Women’s T20 Championship held in June. UAE finished as champions in the competition, defeating the hosts Malaysia.
No women’s international match has been held in Bangladesh since Pakistan toured the country in October 2018. The Women’s Asia Cup 2022 will also be the first women’s international fixtures since the 2014 T20 World Cup that Sylhet will host.
