(21 July) Women’s Asia Cup Points Table 2024: The Women’s Asia Cup 2024 has just started and Indian Women are flying high to keep their legacy on! After four matches in the tournament, here we are with the latest update in the Women’s Asia Cup Points Table 2024 on 21 July.

The tournament, having as many as 8 teams, is being held in Sri Lanka this year and all the teams have played their first game of the tournament. India played their first match against the rival neighbours Pakistan while the hosts Sri Lanka played their opening match against Bangladesh Women.
India defeated Pakistan in the first match of the tournament for them. Bowling first, India didn’t allow Pakistani batters to set their foot on the pitch and picked up wickets at regular intervals.
Pakistan were all out for just 108 runs where Player of the Match Deepti Sharma got three important wickets in the middle. Indian batting started with firecrackers. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana set the ground on fire with their special ability to find gaps and boundaries.
India got the match on their hands in the first 10 overs and chased down the target within 15 overs. This was a big win with balls remaining, leading India to have big gains in the NRR in the Women’s Asia Cup points table.

Group A consists of India, UAE, Nepal and Pakistan. India is leading the table with absolute domination. Defeating Pakistan by chasing the target early on, India possess an NRR of +2.294. Pakistan is last on the list with an equal negative NRR. Nepal defeated UAE in the opening match of the tournament and hence they are second in the table.
