IPL 2021: Won’t comment on Eoin Morgan’s tweet controversy says KKR CEO Venky Mysore.

IPL 2021: Following a severe backlash from fans, English limited-overs skipper Eoin Morgan and his teammate Jos Buttler are under the scanner of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Morgan and Buttler both a couple of years ago made controversial remarks where they were alleged of making fun of Indians.

In the meantime, KKR CEO Venky Mysore has refrained from giving any statement regarding Eoin Morgan, who is the current skipper of KKR, due to lack of clarity.

The CEO of the IPL Franchise did said that they have “zero tolerance” for any sort of discrimination.

“We don’t know enough about it to comment at this time. Let’s wait for the process to be completed to get all the facts before we jump to any conclusions. Just to reiterate, the Knight Riders organisation has zero tolerance for any sort of discrimination,” KKR CEO Venky Mysore told Cricbuzz on Wednesday night.

Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler both feature in the IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) respectively.

The tweets from both cricketers resurfaced soon after English debutant pacer Ollie Robinson was handed a suspension right after his first game due to his derogatory comments especially towards Muslims and people of Asian Heritage.

Robinson, who impressed everyone with his debut performance, was soon overshadowed by his controversial historic tweets, dating back to 2012, 2013.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) came to action and has promised to take relevant actions against the alleged and stated each case to be monitored individually.
