The BCCI has also given a provision for the selection of players via domestic performances. This will allow all the national players a fair chance. Domestic giants such as Rajat Patidar, Rahul Tripathi, Umran Malik, and Shahbaz Ahmed can still try to get a slot in the top 15 for the ICC World Cup 2023. The Indian team will be keenly looking for a good spin combination as the World Cup will be played in India, where tracks are very spin friendly.

The BCCI will also focus on the fitness of the players and will be using the players on a rotation basis. Every series is likely to feature a new set of players to allow a fair number of opportunities to this huge talent pool. This will also permit rest time. Rehabilitation programs will be organized for special players or players of the elite division. Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah are a few injury-prone players who are irreplaceable.
