Delhi Capitals won the toss at first and asked UP Warriorz to bat first. There was no change in their playing 11 whereas UP Warriorz had two changes- Alana King and Saima Thakor missed out, and Chinelle Henry and Rajeshwari Gayakwad were in.

UP Warriorz accepted the batting invitation and had an eventful first innings, starting with a blazing knock from Kiran Navgire, who smashed a quick fifty in just 24 balls. However, her wicket triggered a collapse, as they slipped from 66/0 to 82/4 in no time. Swetha Sehrawat then played a steady innings, scoring 37 off 33 balls, helping to stabilize things.

Towards the end, Chinelle Henry provided a late boost with an unbeaten 33 off just 15 balls. However, Delhi Capitals made a strong comeback in the final three overs, allowing only 16 runs. UP Warriorz managed to post 166 runs, but they might feel they missed out on an extra 10-15 runs. Shikha Pandey was quite expensive today but Delhi Capitals were spot on as a unit in bowling.

Not only Shafali Verma, but Lanning also went blazing right from the start. The chase of 167 looked easily chasable with these two on the strike but Shafali was caught at the deep just after the batting powerplay. 

Jamimah got a duck this time but Delhi Capitals were in control throughout the chase and even the wicket of Mag Lanning in the crucial stage didn't bring panic. Marizanne Kapp and Annabelle Sutherland stitched together the winning partnership and took the team to the second win of the tournament by 7 wickets.
