IPL 2022: 3 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) might retain ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

IPL 2022: The Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had a brilliant outing in the suspended Vivo IPL 2021. With the inclusion of a couple of key players on the side, the outfit has attained stability. Apart from winning back to back games, RCB had some encouraging signs which they will want to take forward.

The next IPL mega auction will be important for RCB and for their upcoming future. RCB always carries a surprise element in every auction. Last time the franchise retained Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers along with Sarfaraj Khan which was the surprise element.

Here in this article, we will discuss three players Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) might retain before the IPL 2022 Auction takes place.

3 Players Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) might retain ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction:

Virat Kohli:

The name Virat Kohli is synonymous with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). There is no doubt in the retention of the RCB skipper. Virat is the only player in the history of the Indian Premier League to play all games for a single franchise.

He will be a first choice retention and was previously retained for a whopping INR 17 Crores, back in 2018.

He is also a run-machine, scoring most runs in the IPL history. Virat has scored 6076 runs in 199 IPL games which includes five centuries.

AB de Villiers:

The Mr 360 of the cricketing world has been on fire ever since he bid adieu to international cricket. He had an impressive Vivo IPL 2021 and finished a couple of games for his side. He managed to seal two games on his own while batting.

After his exploits in the IPL, the Cricket South Africa (CSA) is pumped to reinstate AB de Villiers in the T20I side for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and 2022.

De Villiers will surely be a second cricketer to get retained by the franchise knowing his abilities.

Mohammad Siraj:

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) used to retain Yuzvendra Chahal as the third retention however his inconsistency and a rough phase has paved the way for Mohammad Siraj to get retained.

Moreover, Siraj has been bowling sensationally over the last couple of months after the India-Australia test series last year. He has improved his lengths and is turning out to be a hard bowler to hit.

With his exploits in recent cricket, Siraj can now hit constant 140kmph and can bowl the tricky overs for RCB as well as for India.

All-rounder Washington Sundar could also be an option for the third choice retention however, Mohammad Siraj looks a formidable contender for the Royals this time.
