Vivo IPL 2021: 3 Players who can possibly come in place of Pat Cummins in KKR if he isn't available for IPL 2021.
Vivo IPL 2021: The Shahrukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will certainly miss the services of their million-dollar baby, Pat Cummins in Phase 2 of the Vivo IPL 2021. The Aussie speedster is certain to make himself unavailable for the remainder of the IPL 2021 due to the packed International Australian calendar ahead.
On 29th May, the BCCI revealed that the remaining 31 games will be held in UAE due to the monsoon in India. Although the proper schedule, dates and Venues are yet to be disclosed, Pat Cummins has already put KKR on the backfoot by making himself unavailable for the UAE tour.
KKR was placed seventh in the points table with just two wins in seven games. In order to qualify for the playoffs, KKR will have to bag six of their remaining seven games.
The challenge looks daunting to the franchise given that Pat Cummins wont be available with them.
Here in this article, we will take a look at 3 Players who can possibly replace Pat Cummins in KKR squad for remainder of the Vivo IPL 2021.

3 Players who can possibly come in place of Pat Cummins in KKR:
Varun Aaron:
The 31-years old Indian pacer Varun Aaron can be a potent weapon for KKR. Owing to his rich experience with the Indian national side, Aaron can destroy any batting lineup on his day. He has fine abilities to bowl pinpoint yorkers along with nasty bouncers. However, inconsistency in his line and length will be an issue for the pacer.
With his inclusion in the side, KKR can field other overseas players. Someone like Tim Siefert, Lokie Ferguson who did not feature in the first half can get their chances here.
In the IPL, Aaron has played 50 games and managed to scalp 42 wickets.
Sheldon Cottrell:
The West Indies pacer will also be in the fray of KKR as the replacement of Pat Cummins. Cottrell is an important name in the West Indies limited-overs side and has done remarkably well in the past.
He can swing the ball up front and can be a very good wicket-taking option in crunch overs. His addition to the side can make the KKR bowling unit even stronger.
Cottrell played for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings ) in the Dream11 IPL 2020 where he scalped six wickets in as many games.
Matt Henry:
The Kiwi young pacer Matt Henry can be the best option in front of KKR if they are looking for a like for like replacement. He can produce sharp movement with the new ball and have that raw pace to trouble the batsman.
Henry is ranked fourth in the ICC ODI ranking for bowlers. The 29-years old cricketer featured for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2018 but was soon dropped from the side after playing two games.
With his sheer brilliance while bowling, Mat Henry is quite handy with the willow in hand. He has recused his national side New Zealand on multiple occasions when they needed quick runs.
