Ahmedabad Titans, Official Name of Ahmedabad based IPL Team Revealed: The Ahmedabad based Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise has named itself "Ahmedabad Titans" ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. The franchise announced the development on Monday, February 7, five days prior to the start of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

The reports suggested that the franchise will also unveil its franchise logo in the latter part of the day.

Ahmedabad Titans will be spearheaded by Indian senior all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who has been roped in by the franchise by shelling out INR 15 Crores. The other two draft picks of Ahmedabad Titans include Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan (INR 15 Crores) and Indian opener batsman Shubman Gill (INR 7 Crores).

Irelia Company, CVC Capitals Partners bagged the operational rights of the Ahmedabad Titans after they won the bidding by shedding a massive INR 5625 Crores from their purse.

Ahmedabad Titans have also signed up a star-studded coaching staff which includes the former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra as the head coach, former World Cup-winning coach of India, Gary Kirsten and former England batsman Vikram Solanki will be the Director of Cricket Operations.

Gary Kirsten has showed his faith in Hardik Pandya's abilities as the leader of the side. Kirsten has backed the all rounder to do well in the tournament.
