All Details of Umpires and Match Officials for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday, September 8, announced the complete list of umpires and match officials to officiate in the impending ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, scheduled to be held in India later this year. The list of match officials included all the members of the elite ICC panel of umpires and referees.

ICC confirmed that all the 20 match officials of the ICC Emirates Elite Panel will be present during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 league stage. Meanwhile, the umpires and other officials for the semi-final and finals will be named in the due course of time.

The list of 20 match officials includes 16 umpires and four match referees. Of these 16 umpires, 12 belong to the ICC Elite Panel, while the remaining four belong to the ICC Emerging Umpire Panel.

The list of match officials three umpires who had officiated in the 2019 edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup in England and Wales. The likes of Kumar Dharmasena (SL), Marais Erasmus (SL), and Rod Tucker (AUS) gave their services in the previous World Cup.

Meanwhile, ICC also confirmed that India's Nitin Menon and Sri Lanka's Kumar Dharmsena will be the two on-field umpires for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 opening fixture between England and New Zealand on October 5. The other match officials for the event will be Paul Wilson (TV Umpire), Sharfuddoula (Fourth Umpire) and Andy Pycroft (Match Referee).
