The medical team will monitor Dahani for the next 48-72 hours and then decide whether he can continue his participation in the Asia Cup or not. A PCB official said that ?He has complained of a side strain after the match against Hong Kong and he is being monitored but the medical team will probably decide to have a scan after 48 to 72 hours.?

?Shahnawaz Dahani is with the team but the indications are he might not play in the remaining matches of the tournament and will require proper rehab," he added.

Injury issues keep piling up for Pakistan's fast battery, they lost Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Wasim even before the start of the tournament. With Dahani?s injury will now stretch their bowling thin in the match against India, Pakistan could look to either Mohammad Hasnain or the experienced Hasan Ali for Today's crunch encounter.

After the match against India, Pakistan will take on Afghanistan (September 7) and Sri Lanka (September 9) in their remaining Super Four matches. The top two teams at the end of the Super Four stage will advance to the final on Sunday, 11 September.
