In extremely shocking and devastating news, Australian former cricketer and legendary spinner Shane Warne passes away on Friday at the age of 52.?

Warne was found in an unconscious state in his villa and despite the best medical efforts, he couldn?t be revived, said reports.

?Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,? Warne?s management confirmed in a statement to Australian media outlet Fox Sports.

?The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course,? the statement added.

As per the brief Fox Sports report, Warne passed away in Thailand due to a heart attack.

This is the second death of an Australian cricketer in the last 24 hours. A couple of hours ago, former Aussie icon, Rod Marsh also passed away after suffering a heart attack earlier this week.

Shane Warne's cricketing career spanned 15-long years before he bid adieu to the game. During 1992 and 2007, Warne scalped 708 test wickets and was also named as one of Wisden's Five Cricketers of the Century.

With a massive 708 wickets under his belt, arguably, Shane Warne was the best leg-spinner of all time. Apart from his test wickets, Warnie claimed 293 One Day International (ODI) wickets.
