The 2024 T20 World Cup is less than a month away and no world cup is fun without the presence of the mighty Aussies. The Men in Yellow will be entering this year's T20 World Cup as one of the favourites but there's some big news which has been circulating recently in the Media. New Zealand is the first team which announced their World Cup squad but their Trans Tasman rivals and 2021 T20 World Cup winners, Australia, might take the tough decision of dropping Steve Smith from this year's mega event, according to Code Sports.
The news report of Code Sports also states that hard hitting batter Jake Fraser - Mcgurk, who has been performing exceptionally well in the current edition of the IPL might not find a spot in the Men in Yellow?s squad for this year's mega event.
Considering the kind of explosive knocks Mcgurk has played in IPL 2024, fans and Cricketing experts are anticipating the Aussie selectors to pick the 22 year old for the T20 World Cup. In six IPL games so far, Mcgurk has managed to score 259 runs at an outstanding strike rate of 233.33 and an average of 43.17.
