Bangladesh's elite spinner Shakib Al Hasan banned from bowling in all formats of Cricket by the BCB
Bangladesh Cricket Team's legendary spin bowling All-rounder Shakin Al Hasan has put himself in big trouble. The veteran will no longer be able to roll his arm over in any formats of Cricket. His bowling has been banned. The England Cricket Board (ECB) had earlier declared Shakib's bowling-action as illegal.
Following this, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) started investigation regarding his bowling-action and after looking at all the possibilities, they found him to be guilty of using an illegal Bowling-action and they have therefore decided to ban him from bowling in all formats of the game.
The 37-year-old was playing County Cricket for Surrey in England. He took part in his only match for Surrey versus the team of Somerset. He scored 12 runs with the bat in the first inning of that contest and got dismissed for a duck in the 2nd inning. With the ball though, things were different as Hasan bowled in a lethal manner, taking the wickets of nine batters across both the innings.
What's the reason behind the decision of banning Shakib from bowling in all formats of the sport?
The Bangladeshi Spin Bowling All-rounder was banned by the Cricket governing body of England, the England Cricket Board (ECB) for having an illegal bowling-action. Actually, his action exceeded the 15-degrees limit permitted by the ECB. The wrist cannot be rotated by more than 15 degrees.
Shakib performed well with the ball for Surrey in County Cricket
The spin bowling All-rounder performed well with the ball for the country team of Surrey. In the match versus Somerset, the 37-year-old bowled a total of 33.5 overs in the first inning and took four wickets by giving away 97 runs. In the 2nd inning, Shakib brought his A game forward as went on to register a five-wicket-haul and gave away 96 runs in the process.

Shakib Al Hasan's International career has been great so far. He has scored a total of 4,609 runs with the bat in 71 Test-Matches with the help of five centuries and 31 fifties. With the ball, he has dismissed batters 246 times and he has best bowling figures of 7-36 next to his name.
In terms of One Day International Cricket, the 37-year-old has taken part in 247 50 over matches and he has managed to amass 7,570 runs with the bat and has also managed to dismiss batters 317 times.
