India Women's Team: The Board of Cricket Council Of India announced Amol Muzumdar to fill the 10-month vacant seat of the head coach of the senior India Women's Team. The BCCI, on Wednesday, appointed the domestic stalwart-turned-coach- Amol Muzudar as the head coach of the India Women's team.

After interviewing the shortlisted candidates for the position, the board's Cricket Advisory Committee, which was comprised of Sulakshana Naik, Ashok Malhotra, and Jatin Paranjape, unanimously recommended Muzumdar to take over. The position has been empty since Ramesh Powar had to depart in December of last year as a result of an internal BCCI restructuring.

Since then, Nooshin Al Khadeer and Hrishikesh Kanitkar have taken on interim head coach roles. While Kanitkar managed the squad at the Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa earlier this year and their gold-medal winning effort at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, Nooshin was in charge during the Indian women's team's July trip to Bangladesh.
