BCCI to part ways with Ravi Shastri and other Indian coaching staff after T20 World Cup 2021.
ICC T20 World Cup 2021: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to make a complete revamp of the Indian team?s coaching structure after the completion of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
As per the reports available, head coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and batting coach Vikram Rathour will be removed from the backroom of the Indian men?s cricket team.
Shastri has already informed that he is anyway going to part ways with the national team after his contract expires. It is worth noting that the current Indian head coach was given an extension as his contract expired after the ICC ODI World Cup 2021.
He first came in as India?s full-time coach in 2017 after India?s defeat in the Champions Trophy final. Under his coaching, India thrashed Australia two times in their own backyard. Reached the semi-final of the ODI World Cup 2021 and reached the final of the ICC World Test Championship. Although India eluded an ICC title during Shastri's tenure, he has successfully managed to turn India into a formidable outfit.
As things have been going over the past few months, it is almost clear that Shastri and Co. will not seek any extension this time after the T20 World Cup 2021 and are ready to bid adieu to their roles and responsibilities.?

BCCI has already rolled out the advertisements for the NCA?s head, the post currently held by Rahul Dravid. It will be interesting whether Dravid replies to it or not.?
The applications for the new coaching staff for the Senior Indian men?s team will go as per the plans. A completely new structure and faces will join the Indian outfit after the T20 World Cup.
There are certain factors pointing towards Dravid?s inclusion as the head coach of India, especially after his successful stints at the Under19 level and the recent India tour of Sri Lanka.
If Dravid throws his hat in the ring for the role of head coach, he will be the frontrunner among others and will surely win the race with the kind of stature and reputation he possesses.
