5 practice pitches for 10 IPL teams:

The BCCI had several challenges in front before organising the fifteenth edition of the IPL. The biggest was to provide all ten IPL teams with a substantial practice space. With the tournament being scheduled in Maharashtra only, the problem got bigger due to area constraints.

However, addressing the concern, the BCCI has identified five training grounds for the IPL teams. All the teams will get the licence to practice on these identified grounds from March 14-15.

The five training grounds include - the MCA ground in suburban Bandra Kurla Complex, MCA ground in Thane, the Dr DY Patil University ground and a football pitch along with the CCI (Cricket Club of India) and the Reliance Corporate Park ground in Ghansoli.

The players from different parts of the world will begin arriving in India from March 8 and will subsequently join their bio-secure bubble after completing the necessary checks after their arrival.
