Vivo IPL 2021: Two English cricketers, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler have officially been ruled out of the remainder of the Vivo IPL 2021 by Rajasthan Royals. The franchise informed the development on Tuesday to all the fans through a social media post.
The wicket-keeping batsman Jos Buttler is expecting his second child and hence has pulled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 while all-rounder Ben Stokes has taken an indefinite break from all forms of cricket and will not show up for the remainder of the cash-rich league.
Meanwhile, the Royals have brought West Indies dashing batter Evin Lewis and pacer Oshane Thomas on board as a replacement for the two Englishmen.
"IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals today announced the final set of their replacement players. West Indian duo of Evin Lewis and Oshane Thomas will be joining the Royals squad as replacement players for the remainder of IPL..," the franchise said in a release.

Lewis made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2018 and remained with the franchise for two seasons. In the 16 matches, Evin Lewis amassed 430 runs at an average of 26. However, the franchise dropped off him in IPL 2020 as they had a few world-class openers in the side.
Oshane Thomas, on the other hand, got a chance with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2019 where the pacer picked up five wickets from four appearances in the competitive league.
The Royals will begin their IPL 2021 campaign on 21st September against Punjab Kings at Dubai International Stadium.
Sanju Samson and Co. had an average outing in the first half of the IPL 2021, where the group managed to win three matches out of seven. RR is seated at fifth place in the points table as of now.
