India's new poster boy and current T20 sensation, Rinku Singh, is one of the most highly anticipated cricketers, as he celebrates his 27th birthday this time around.
Rinku Singh is a celebrated Indian cricketer, first recognized for his stunning domestic performances either in Ranji or even in domestic trophies like the Vijay Hazare and the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. He was then picked and scouted by the Kolkata Knight Riders as they acquired him for the first-ever time back in the auction of 2018.
Initially barred into the scenario, Rinku was primarily used as a substitute fielder back then, before he started making field appearances for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Though initially, Rinku could not have most of the desired success, as from 2018-20, he featured in only 10 matches and was very probable to be dropped off from the side before the next auction.
Rinku started taking the limelight from the 2022 IPL when he was recognized as an electric fielder, while also batting stunningly whenever he got a chance to feature for the Knight Riders. Singh relished onto a perfect season in 2023, as Rinku Singh slammed a thunderous record as he smashed 474 runs in the edition.
Rinku emerged as KKR?s best batter and their highest run-getter, as he averaged nearly 60 and scored at a strike rate of 150. This handed him the status of a fine finisher, as he also scored 4-half-century scores in the season, as he knocked heavily on the doors of the Indian team for his selection into the T20I side.

Rinku then made his debut for India in the T20I side in August 2023 against Ireland, as he soon stoot to form. Since then, Rinku Singh has starred in 25 international T20 matches for India and has scored 471 runs, averaging over 58 while also striking over 175.
Rinku was last seen in the second T20I match against Bangladesh, which was played recently, when he, with his third half-century score of 53, went on to give India the upper hand and rescue them from a near struggle. He has also played 2 ODI matches for India against South Africa back in 2023.
Rinku Singh in the innings scored 53 runs against Bangladesh, as he hit 3-sixes in the innings as well. While also Rinku Singh is now leveled up with the great Indian veteran MS Dhoni, arguably one of the finest finishers in the history of the game.
MS Dhoni, who has had a previous record for India in T20s with the third most sixes hit in the final two overs of the game, as now Rinku is also leveled with Dhoni for having hit 19-sixes for India, though Dhoni after 56 innings and Rinku have achieved the same in just 12 of his T20 innings.
Rinku Singh, though, did not have a very decent season in the IPL 2024, as he missed to have a start while also failing to press onto the accelerator during the end phase of the innings. Rinku Singh now has played 45 matches for the KKR, as he has scored 893 runs since he averaged over 30 and also scored at a force rate over 143.34.
