<p>Team India, under the captaincy of Niki Prasad were the table toppers in the Super 4 phase of Women's U-19 Asia Cup. They played four matches and out of these four games, they registered victories in three while match ended in a no-result situation. They topped the table with seven points next to their name. </p>
<p>The Bangladeshi U-19 Women's Team had occupied the 2nd position in the overall standings. They participated in four games and secured wins in three contests. <p>Shafali Verma, the most criticized cricket of Indian Women Cricket team for her rash style of batting has just shut the mouth of her trolls. She is India's highest run-scorer and with 184 runs at an average of 61, she is ranked second on the list.</p>



<p>Smriti Mandhana is also there on the list at seventh spot and hopefully she is going to elevate her rankings in today's game against Sri Lanka.</p>

<p>India's Deepti Sharma is leading the Wicket taker's chart in the Women's Asia Cup 2024. She has bowled 16 overs in four matches and has 9 wickets to her bag.</p>

<p>As we have mentioned various times, Indian Women have been an immovable force in the Women's Asia Cup tournament. They have won seven titles out of eight and they are a strong contender for the title of 2024 as well.</p>



<p>The eight teams in the 2024 Asia Cup tournament were divided into two groups. India, Pakistan, Nepal, and UAE made up Group A and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia made up Group B.</p>

<p><strong>India Women:</strong> India Women are the most successful team in the history of the ACC Women's Asia Cup and they have been dominating in this edition as well. They were placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Nepal and UAE. Women in Blue played 3 matches in the group stage and they won all three matches with domination. They also ended the group stage by being on the top of the Group A Points table.</p>

<p><strong>Pakistan Women:</strong> This was the first major tournament for Nida Dar after being appointed as the Full-time Captain of the the team and it didn't start well to be honest. Pakistan Women lost their match to India but they showed great determination and fightback in their remaining two games against Nepal and UAE. They ended up second in the points table.</p>

<p>The first game of 23rd July was Pakistan vs UAE. UAE was already out of the tournament but a win for Pakistan was a must. Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first. Though UAE got an exciting start, Pakistani bowlers were quick to make a comeback. After just three wickets down at 74 runs, Pakistan executed an excellent bowling performance to restrict UAE to 103 runs.</p>

<p>The chase for Pakistan never looked tough as the two openers were batting with free flow. Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali?played an outstanding innings to chase the target ensuring no damage of wickets. Pakistan chased down the target within 15 overs and got a "green Q" to their name in the Women's Asia Cup Points table.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="ind-vs-nep-match-summary"><strong>IND vs NEP Match Summary</strong></h2>



<p>Next, the evening match was played between India and Nepal. India were almost qualified with a high NRR and this was a practice kind of match for them. Harmanpreet Kaur got rest and Smriti Mandhana got the charge of the team.</p>



<p>India batted first and Shafali Verma got a new opening partner Hemlata and they constructed a 122-run opening partnership. Shafali Verma was leading the Indian batting with her 81 off 48 balls and a quick 28 by Rodrigues helped India to post 178 runs in their 20 overs.</p>

<p>All Nepal could do was stick to the crease and play with the merit of the ball, but they were forced to go unnatural. Arundhati Reddy started the things for India and she was joined by Radha Yadav. Deepti Sharma joined them and scalped three in the middle overs which ended Nepal's innings under 96 and India won the match by 82 runs.</p>

<p>Starting with just two teams in 2004 (India and Sri Lanka), eight teams are taking part in the 2024 event with Nepal Women's being the new entry. </p>

<p>Indian Women have dominated the Asian countries in Cricket and this is pretty evident with India winning seven out of the eight editions played till now. This will be the ninth edition of the tournament and Sri Lanka is all set to host the 8-team competition in T20 format.</p>
